Windows 10: After latest win 10 update, have to click in browser box multiple times for it to respond

Not sure which category to select for this question.

After a recent December 2020 windows 10 update, noticed when I open my browser and try to start typing, I have to re-hit the the mouse key for the browser to respond / accept it and then allow me to start typing.

[ No left or right mouse click problems with anything else what-so-ever ]


Anyone had this kind of problem?

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

Persistent "Not Responding" Error Messages on MS Word, Excel & Chrome Browser on an HP Win 10 Laptop

Greetings. After two (2) days of tense use I am now receiving intermittent "Not Responding" messages for MS Word and Excel as well as Chrome browser.

Your initial suggestions to download any OS and MS Office uploads were very, very helpful. The overall performance of my HP Win 10 laptop is greatly improved.

If you have any suggestions of further steps I can take to minimize or resolve the "Not Responding" issues are much appreciated.
