Windows 10: After resetting Windows 11, how do I shut down the PC without completing the setup?

After resetting Windows 11, how do I shut down the PC without completing the setup? I tried Shift + F10 but it did not bring the command prompt. Pressing the power button puts the computer to sleep without shutting it down. Any other options besides holding the power button?

We suggest doing these troubleshooting steps below:

Method 1. Hard Reset

• Shut down your computer.
• Remove the cable and wires connected to your computer.
• Press the Power button for 10 seconds to completely drain your device.
• Check if there's any changes.

Method 2. Shutdown trick.

• Press Windows key.
  
• Press and hold Shift.
• Click the Power icon.
• Select and click Shutdown.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

It is not an option to skip that step in Windows 11 setup, the best option is to either stop the process at that point and let the new employee set up their own account, or create a new Microsoft Account just for this purpose and use that to complete the setup on all those devices, you can later delete that profile after the new employee has created their own account.
