After the Windows 10 Feature Update 1809, all my personal files have disappeared. Not just my documents, but all user data. I haven't backed up my PC before. I have already updated and now am wondering how do I get my files back. I had a lot of stuff in there. My OS is Lenovo ideacentre 710-25ISH. There is a new 1809 update now, 3/4/19, but I'm wary to install it. Is it safe. Please note that this is a NON-ADMIN account so It's even harder.

Please help.

Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

windows 10 update 1809 files disappeared!!!!!

Hi. I installed the latest version of windows 10 (1809) from an official .iso on 2 laptops. the files (downloads, documents,, etc) simply disappeared. I copy them again and after starting the computer they disappear again. This bug is serious and also
affects the documents of many people who made the update from windows update:

Windows 10 1809 update release

Insiders are testing a modified release of Windows 10 1809 feature update and the release will happen in due time. The Media Feature Pack for Windows 10 Pro N edition (1809 build) will be available for download once the feature update is pushed.



The new official release of the Media Feature Pack for Windows 10 Pro 1809 N edition will be listed under
Media Feature Pack list for Windows N editions once released.
