  1. After Win10 update to Ver 1607 x64, can no longer access NAS

Windows 10 updated to Version 1607 and I can no longer access my Synology NAS. I have attempted every potential solution I have found on the net to no avail. I have another machine running WIN10 that I disabled windows update on and it's at version 1511 and the NAS is accessible. I called Microsoft support and the tech told me he had no way to trouble shoot this problem. Synology has gone over the top trying to help me with a solution and so far we have been unsuccessful.
Can someone point me to a fix. This is my business machine and I cannot access files I need.
    Thanks,
    Dave

    :)

    Unable to shutdown or restart...

Laptop suddenly will not shutdown or restart when clicking the option. I used the laptop daily and has been fine. I noticed windows update or install in progress so I let it complete. When it is done installing the update, still will not let me shutdown
or restart. I left the laptop on overnight and no change this morning. About to do hard shutdown unless there is another alternative re hard power down (something I do not like to do). Please recommend?

File History Interferes with networked NAS file access

When I have Win10 File History backup turned on I can no longer listen to music or other media located on my NAS without interuptions. Access to the NAS directories and files slow down dramatically. This began sometime in the last couple months, presumably
after one of the Win10 updates. The File History backups reside on my NAS, as do my media files. This is a ReadyNAS from Netgear. It has run well for years, including with File History in earlier Win10 versions as well as Win8. If I turn off the File History
it will after several minutes resume normal operation. Turn File History back on and again it bogs down.

After Win10 update to Ver 1607 x64, can no longer access NAS

Click on the start icon. Start typing Credential. The top app entry on the list should be Credential Manager, click on that. Click on Windows Credentials, then Add A Windows Credential. If you NAS has a fixed IP address, I would use that for Internet or Network Address. If the NAS is using DHCP then use the server name of the NAS. If your NAS is setup for users and passwords, then insert the username and password for the account on the NAS. Otherwise, any name should work and a blank password. I use my Windows user account name. Save it all and that should restore access.

  5. I have the credential in the system. I have tried numerous credentials to no avail. NAS has a fixed IP on the network.
    Attached images:
Map Drive Error Normal Login1 < attempt to map a folder on the NAS
Map Drive Error Normal Login1 error < error I receive. NAS is fully functional on the network, 2nd PC with WIN10 sees it fine.
Map Drive Error Normal Login2 < attempt to map a folder on the NAS using different credentials
Map Drive Error Normal Login2 cred < NAS User and Login
    (limited to 5 uploads)
It asks for this same screen a second time, then asks for permission with my Microsoft Account twice, then fails.

As noted originally, I have attempted every "fix" I could find on the net with zero success.
    Thanks,
    Dave

PS Thank you for your service, it's very much appreciated.
