Windows 10: After Windows 10 update I can no longer hear with bluethooth headphone, audio always from...

Since a Windows 10 update my bluethooth connect to my laptop but for some reason the audio isn't heard from my headphones but rather my laptop speakers.


I thought uninstalling the update would solve my problem but it still persists.


The only way I could have audio from headphones is when I disable my speakers while enabling my "headset" but the audio at some point becomes distorted which never ever happens, i even tried listening to some music on my phone to make sure and it never got distorted.

My drivers are all up to date


Side note, for some reason I can only 'connect' my "headset" but not my "headphones"





It says that there's nothing wrong with my "headphones" even though it refeuses to connect??



I tried looking online but non of them are solved

Headphones not working and Realtek HD Audio Manager

• Did you check if your headphones work on other device?
• Did you check if your headphone drivers are detected under Device manager?

I suggest you to check if similar issue persists on connecting the same headphones to another computer. If the issue does not persists, I suggest you to check if the headphone drivers are detected under Device manager by following the steps below:

• Press Windows logo + X keys on the keyboard select
  Device Manager from the options.
• Expand Audio inputs and outputs option and check if the headphone drivers are visible in the window.
• Right-click on the headphone driver and select Update this software
  option.
• Follow the on-screen instructions and wait for the update to complete.
• Close the window after the update is complete and check if the changes are effective.

If the headphone drivers are not visible, I suggest you to download and install the latest and most compatible driver software from the device manufacturer’s website and check if the issue is resolved.

i would also recommend looking at the Audio Technica m50s if this is your first step into audiophile headphones.

most of the cans you listed will also need an amp to push them.
