Windows 10: Age of Mythology and ~f1d055.tmp

I recently tried to install my copy of Age of Mythology on Windows 10. It installed fine with no issues other than when I go to open the game the tmp file ~f1d055.tmp pops up for a second then disappears.


I have tried all the fixes I could find for compatibility and have seen several suggestions to use a crack or buy from steam.

I refuse to do both and would like an explanation if this has been resolved.

I looked into the Direct play issue and the Signature issue. Both are on for my computer yet I still have the tmp file popping up and then closing.

Running Age of Mythology on Windows 10

I just recently installed Age of Mythology onto my Windows 10 computer and cannot get it to run. The installation went smoothly with no problems whatsoever. When I click 'Open' on the program, it briefly shows up in Task Manager as a background process
along with a process called "-f1d055.tmp (32 bit)" but both disappear within seconds. My copy of the game is 100 percent legitimate, I bought it from Microsoft themselves. My computer displays no other inability to run programs. Can someone please help me?

You may also try installing the game in the compatibility mode. Follow the below steps to install the game in the compatibility mode.

1. Right-click on the game setup file and click on ‘Properties’'.

2. Click on the ‘Compatibility’ tab and check the box ‘Run this program in compatibility mode for’ and select Windows 8/8.1 operating system from the drop down menu and proceed with the installation. Once this is done,
restart the computer and check if the issue persists.
