Windows 10: Airplane mode stuck after update

CORRECTION WINDOWS 10!

Closing my Lenovo Thinkpad windows 10 core i5 vPro today i was prompted to "update and shut down" which i did. Turning it on again few hours later and it is stuck in airplane mode. Option is greyed out entirely no matter what. It has never done this before.


The updates are:

KB4495667

KB4509095

KB4480116


I have spent last few hours googling and trying different solutions with no success. It remains stuck.


Things i tried (not massively tech literate but just followed instructions)


Toggling tower key, FN+tower key etc - light flashes but nothing changes

Uninstalling today's updates - if i do this via "uninstall" option it seems to uninstall but they return after restart. If i do it via wusa /uninstall /kbxxxx /quiet it says updates are required and uninstallable

Restart safe mode - won't let me log in says microsoft password is incorrect

Update driver - cannot connect to internet

Change RadioEnable dword to 0 - it was already 0

Reinstall windows - says cannot find recovery environment


Can't remember all the other things i tried but i basically systematically went through all the top returned google results for this problem and tried what I could. Reset dozens of times. Still no luck.


I have also looked for a wireless or airplane physical button but cannot find.


Any help appreciated and if you need more specs and show me where to look i can provide.

Airplane mode stuck on. On my desktop

I understand the issue that you are currently facing, we will try the best we can to resolve your issue.

I suggest you to follow the steps to disable the Airplane mode.

Step 1: Open Settings, and select or tap on the
Network & Internet icon.

Step 2. Select or tap on Airplane mode on the left side to turn
on or off Airplane mode on the right side.

I also suggest you to run the Internet Connections troubleshooter and check

• Type Troubleshooting in the search box
  and Hit Enter.
• Click View all from the left pane and select Network and Internet and select the Internet connections \Network adapter troubleshooter and follow the on-screen instructions.

Airplane mode stuck

So after my computer updated it is stuck in airplane mode I have tried all the suggestions to fix it and it is still stuck. I have tried the function key I have tried recovering my computer which it will not let me do. I have tried starting in safe mode
and disabling it. I have tried updating my drivers. I have tried searching for raDioenable in registry edit to no avail. I have a Toshiba laptop can anyone help me get access to the Internet and turn off airplane mode?

 

Stuck in Airplane Mode


Hi,

I'm using Windows 10 on a number of systems, Both Dell and Lenovo and after the most recent update, it's been stuck in airplane mode. No matter I try to toggle the physical switch or turn it off within Windows it will go back to airplane mode.
Any ideas on how to fix it?
