I am using Airpods Max and Im trying to use them as a headset. Iam using a Razer blade 18 laptop. The headphones are detected as a audio device. in settings when I clicked on bluetooth devices it says "Connected audio". When I connect the headphones to a different laptop it says that Audio and mic connected. I tried downloading latest bluetooth drivers. Thank you for your help.

Windows 10 21H1 with AirPod Max does not work

I am currently trying to get the AirPod Maxs connected properly to my Windows 10 work machine. I got it to connect crystal clear audio to the head phones through Robert's AirPods Max Stereo. The audio sounded amazing and almost 1:1 from what I was used to. However, I wanted to enable my mic for Discord calls to a friend, and started messing with stuff, now NOTHING works.

This is what I bought to enable Bluetooth connectivity.

    There's currently two listed devices.

Headset: Robert's AirPods Max Hands-Free AG Audio (Sounds like complete **** on both the mic and earphones)

Headphones: Robert's AirPods Max Stereo (These sound the best when they work)

I tried forcing it to look for a better driver, but nothing has worked.

  3. i have the same issue with gir489_2 about "Windows 10 21H1 with AirPod Max does not work" and i have an external microphone but on some microsoft video games it sounds bad.

    Hello Jayden,

Good to see you in Microsoft Community.

You may try the steps below.

    1. Disable the microphone on your AirPods Max:

Press and hold the noise control button on your AirPods Max until the status light turns amber, this will disable the microphone on your AirPods Max.

    2. set your external microphone as the default recording device:

    1. Right-click on the speaker icon in your taskbar and select "Sound settings".
    2. Scroll down to the "Input" section and select your external microphone from the list of available devices.
    3. Click "Set as Default" to make your external microphone the default recording device.
    3. Configure the microphone settings in the game:

Launch the game and go to the audio settings, select your external microphone as the input device, adjust the microphone settings to improve the sound quality, such as the volume or sensitivity.

If anything is unclear, please do not hesitate to let me know.

    Best Regards,

Problem with audio playing through Apple Airpods

I found this on the CNet website in less than 2 minutes with a search engine (GoogleAirpods Max detected as only Audio device :)

Go to Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices > Add Bluetooth or other device.

In the Add a device window, click Bluetooth.

Put your AirPods in their case and open the lid. Press and hold the button on the back of the case until you see the status light between your two AirPods start pulsing white, and then let go. Your AirPods should show up in the Add a device window. Click to
    pair and connect.

After making the initial connection , you'll be able to reconnect your AirPods and your PC by returning to the Bluetooth & other devices page in Settings. You'll see all of your paired audio devices listed under the Audio header. Select your AirPods from
the list and click the Connect button.
