Windows 10: Airpods wont connect to surface pro 6

Hello, I have a surface pro 6, and although I am able to pair my airpods with my surface pro, I used to be able to connect them to my computer but now I am no longer able to. They just do that thing where I click on them to connect and it says either "cannot connect" or "connecting" and then it connects for a second and then disconnects. I have turned off all my other Bluetooth devices like my phone, so I don't think they're interfering in any way, AND I tried that thing where you go into device manager and turn off the "automatically shut off device to save power thing" but that still doesn't work. Apparently when you go under human interface devices you're supposed to see your airpods there but I don't see them under there I only see them under blue tooth devices. I've attached pictures.


Anyways, this is just really annoying because I am a university student and I can't imagine that when school starts again and if I want to study in the library, I'm not going to be able to connect my airpods to my laptop?

AirPods Will Not Stay Connected To Surface Pro

I have successfully paired and repaired my airpods multiple times, however, they will not stay connected. I have not once been able to hear anything through my airpods. I've gone to Device Manager and turned off the 'Bluetooth Low Energy GATT compliant
HID device' and that did not change anything. My airpods will connect perfectly to all Apple Devices, so it is not my airpods that are the problem. Any ideas/advice would be greatly appreciated.
