    Alarms refuse to work!!!


    Here we go again. I have a Surface Pro 4 running the latest version of Windows 10. It is fully updated. I have these settings:

    - "On battery power, turn off after: Never"

    - "When plugged in, turn off after: Never"

    - "On battery power, PC goes to sleep after: Never"

    - "When plugged in, PC goes to sleep after: Never"

    Furthermore, I ALWAYS make sure the volume is turned up to about 60 or 70, and it doesn't make a difference if the computer is plugged in or not. The alarms won't go off at the set times! I've tried the other alarm apps from the Windows Store. Same issues smh. I've downloaded the latest firmware, I've enabled notifications, and I've turned off Focus Assist. NOTHING WORKS. My old Surface RT and Surface 2 (neither of which I have anymore) had alarms that ALWAYS worked. It was never an issue. Fast forward five years later, and this issue hasn't gone away despite the upgrade in software and a newer device. Help!

    P.S. When my computer is on, and an alarm is set, the alarms go off correctly. However, I don't want to leave my computer on all night just for the alarm. It's a waste of energy. There's no reason the alarms should be malfunctioning smh. It's not that complicated.

    Alarms and Clock app not working in Windows 10

    Certain features of the Alarms and Clock app are not working in Windows 10.

    The main reason I use this app is for the Timer, which currently is not working.

    • I cannot create a new timer.
    • I cannot remove the default timer that is there when the app is first run.
    • I cannot edit the default timer

    I have read the " Fix problems with apps from Microsoft Store" article and tried the following steps.


    • Checking for updates.
    • Resetting the app.
    • Running the app troubleshooter

    None of this has fixed the issue I am facing. The Alarm function of this app is also showing the exact same issues.

    Please advise.

    Set an alarm in Alarms, and it doesn't notify me.


    I've been having a problem with Alarms. Every time I set an alarm, it doesn't go off. One time, I set an alarm for 6:00pm and after reboot, it finally when off. Any suggestions?

    • What exactly happens when you set the Alarm?
    • Are you able to open the Clock app?
    • Do you get any error message or error code?
