Windows 10: All browsers stopped working after system recovery windows 10

Hi

Every thing working fine in my windows until I did System recovery. Then all the browsers stopped from opening and looks like they were blocked! When I clicked them nothing openend and I could not do a troubleshout either. I stopped the nortin firwall but nothing changed. Could someone help me please.

Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Inconvenience regretted. I still suggest you uninstall that particular update and see if it works fine, if not try the below steps and check if it helps.

Method 1: Please run the Network troubleshooter and make sure all your drivers are updated.

• Click Start and type troubleshooting in the search box.
• Select Troubleshooting.
• Select View all on the top left corner.
  
• Run Network Adapter troubleshooter.

Method 2: I would suggest you to perform a system restore to an earlier date prior to this issue.

  power icon and click on Restart.

For the convenience of not having to use the installation media for startup repairs. But you should be able to use your installation media to do whatever the recovery partition does(including startup repairs). AFAIK. I could be wrong about that though.

I'm not sure if I follow you there. But if you clean install Windows 10 there will be at least 3 partitions.

• (EFI System Partition)
• (Primary Partition)
• (Recovery/OEM Partition)

If you install from an OEM installation media there might(should?) be 4 partitions. Since there might(should?) be a Recovery partition and an OEM partition.
