Windows 10: All cumulative updates fail with error 0x800700b7

Basically every time I try to do a cumulative update, it gets to 7% then says it failed and that it is reverting to before. This has been happening since the January cumulative update. I've tried many fixes, including installing manually. I'm not sure what else I can do.

Every other update installs with no issue. It's only cumulative updates.

Windows 10 creators update repeatedly fails with error 0x800700b7 while servicing boot files

I ran Windows Update Troubleshooter from https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4027322/windows-windows-update-troubleshooter with the following result.





Update then re-downloaded the Creators update. Restarted to apply it and it failed with the following setuperr.log

Windows 10 creators update repeatedly fails with error 0x800700b7 while servicing boot files

I have been struggling for weeks with an almost new, standard OEM laptop that repeatedly fails to install the feature update to 1703. Current version is Windows 10 home 1511 update 10586.1007 and is fully up to date apart from the Creators Update. I'm
at my wit's end so would appreciate any genuine help.

I tried clean install of Windows 10 from a USB stick - both with and without downloading updates - and both failed.

I've tried the following recommended fixes

- run DISM (minor fixes but makes no difference)

- sfc /scannow (no error)

- chkdsk /f (no error)

Anti-virus has been completely uninstalled using the vendor's uninstaller. All non-essential hardware has been disabled in the BIOS. Still fails at the same point, after rebooting to install the update, at 88% progress and then jumps to rollback and restart.

KB4025339 Fails Install 0x80070564

I am trying Eagle 51's suggestions now. Windows Update troubleshooter found a bunch of errors and fixed all but one.The update is trying to download KB4025339 again. I'll see what happens. At step one troubleshooter finishes with one error unresolved "Potential Windows Update Database Error Detected-Not Fixed". Windows update stalled at 0%.

At step 2 same troubleshooter error. The KB finished a new download failed to install.
Did step 3 KB has downloaded but fails to install.

If Eagle's suggestion doesn't work I'll try EdTittel's suggestion

Tried bothe Eagle & Ed 's suggestions - do not work. Anyone else?

I have noticed that the latest update for my nvidia drivers has failed to update. Wondering about that!
