Windows 10: All Office applications have stopped working

    All Office applications have stopped working


    Good afternoon,


    Since running Avast Cleanup Premium this morning it seems that none of my office applications are working. Here is an example of the error message:


    Windows cannot find 'C:\Users\kelsi\Desktop\NP_Euskadiko Orkestra martxan.docx'. Make sure you typed the name correctly and then try again.


    I have run Avast Cleanup Premium several times in the past with no problems.


    I have updated Windows, uninstalled and reinstalled Office, and updated my translation software Trados according to their guidance I first noticed the problem when attempting to carry a routine file preview of a Trados file in Word. None of this has solved the problem.


    I have also tried reversing the changes made by Avast Cleanup Premium using their 'rescue centre' feature, to no avail.

    Can anyone help?

    MS Office applications stop screensaver working - Windows 10

    Microsoft Office 365 Windows Version 1611 (Build 7571.2109).

    No changes made.

    No troubleshooting apart from re-checking the screensaver settings - as stated the screensaver works perfectly well until any Office application is activated.

    Hi Manikanta, that looks like your Office 365 installation is somehow corrupt, follow these steps to perform a full repair of your Office installation . . .

    Open Control Panel - Programs and Features

    Click Microsoft Office in the list of installed applications

    At the top, click 'Change'

    On the resulting dialog, click 'Repair' - choose the Online Repair, it is a comprehensive fix

    That should fix any issues with your Office Installation . . .
