    Allow wake timers setting missing

I occasionally find my Windows 10 laptop powered on when I get up and I'm sure I powered down before going to bed. I don't leave the computer plugged in unless it is really low on battery so having it start up by itself runs the battery down somewhat. In searching for a solution many suggest going into power settings and turning off "allow wake timers" under sleep. I don't have that option and am wondering why and how to enable it.

    :)

Win 10 v1803 Fails To Wake Scheduled Jobs when Allow Wake Timers set to 'Important Wake Timers Only'

Next time the computer is manually woken from sleep the Task Scheduler reschedules jobs as if they had been run. Event code 153 'Missed Task Start Rejected'.

Setting 'Allow Wake Timers' in the Power Options to 'Enable' overcomes the problem, however it also allows other activities to wake the computer from sleep. v1709 considered a scheduled trigger as an 'Important Wake Timer'. A fix would be welcome.

Windows wakes up with Wake Timers set to off

Dear Geethu! Really thanks for such fast reply. But!

In other words - you don't know how to get rid of wake events! Did you underastand my question? How exactly your solution is helping in getting rid of wake events?

I do not want to troubleshoot power as I said before, I want Windows not to wake up no matter what is set in Allow Wake Timers setting. I want to turn off Wake Timers for real, once and for all, and forget about them for the rest of my life.

And the question (after applying your solution) still remains: why PC is waking up if Wake Timers are disabled?

Of course your solution is not working.

    Allow wake timers setting missing

Windows 11 bug: setting allow wake timers to enable prevent hibernation?

I can confirm the issue is with setting

Control Panel -> Power Options -> Change plan settings -> Change advanced power settings -> Sleep -> Allow wake timers -> set to important wake timer only

When the time is for the PC going into hibernation, it will first wake up. Then it will enter into hibernation. In the event viewer, the following event is there

    Event 1, Power-Troubleshooter

The system has returned from a low power state.

    Sleep Time: ‎2023‎-‎10‎-‎20T02:37:45.072720300Z

    Wake Time: ‎2023‎-‎10‎-‎20T02:37:45.072720300Z

Wake Source: S4 Doze to Hibernate

Control Panel -> Power Options -> Change plan settings -> Change advanced power settings -> Sleep -> Allow wake timers -> set to Enable

The above event is missing. The PC will wake up at the time when it supposes to go into hibernation. But instead of hibernate, it goes back into sleep. The cycle repeats

Is this a bug in Windows 11?
