Almost FORCED to upgrade 7 to 10 ??? NO!!! Help me stop this!!!

xtcrefugee - on a different Win 7 machine, I have now UNinstalled it and rebooted at least six times, each time gradually reducing the functioning of Windows Update so that now it is notify only and NOT update MS products.

Maybe now it will not reappear - let's see.

It's "hidden" only once, so it's maybe not "hidden" well enough.

Is there any cmd line that will truly hide it both ways to tell MS not to re-install?

It kept coming back - time after time!

I had to do an elevated cmd, and then did
    wusa /uninstall /kb:2952664
    TEN times without stopping!!

The first six times, it uninstalled!

The next four times it said that kb2952664 was not installed on the machine

I think I have victory, but what the hell is going on?

One and the same upgrade number can be used multiple times. E.g. Microsoft regularly re-releases newer versions of an upgrade under the same number. That can be the cause for why you really have the "same" upgrade installed multiple times.

I'm honestly not sure what's going on with your system there, if both "versions" of KB2952664 are uninstalled that should be it, it should not auto-install unless you have Windows Update set to do that. As long as you have both the recommended and optional versions of KB2952664 flagged as hidden in Windows Update they should be gone forever. I'd perhaps clear your Windows Update cache and maybe run the Windows Update Fix It utility to check if there are problems which might be making supposedly uninstalled updates reappear.
