    Alternative for WES7?


    Hello All, I'm working in a healthcare product. We are still using Windows Embedded Standard 7 When I google about Windows Embedded Standard 7's Extended End Date is Oct 13, 2020. I have few questions. 1. What are the disadvantage of continuing the same Windows Embedded Standard 7 OS? 2. What is the alternative for Windows Embedded Standard 7? Thanks in advance, Rajan

    KB4530692 (Standalone security-only update) - RTSS ERROR on WES7

    When following the steps for the KB4530692 Security-only update on an offline Windows Embedded Standard 7 I get the error "RtssRun was unable to start the RTSS application provided. The binary file may be corrupted." The error occurs when I try to install
    KB4474419 (SHA2). I have considered stopping the RTSS process altogether, run the update, and restart the process after the update. I have also considered running the update on an online WES7 machine, copying the trusted certificates and keys and import them
    to the offline WES7.

    My concern is that shutting off the RTSS process or importing the trusted certificates from somewhere else could lead to a vulnerability or worse. Can anyone please shed some light on the matter or suggest another solution? Thanks.

    Slui.exe missing in WES7

    hi everyone,

    I installed WES7 32 via IBW. now that I have to activate it, it tells me that the slui.exe file does not exist and in fact in the System32 folder there is not. How can I solve? in addition to the updates
    I did not do anything but even before making them gave me the same error.
