    Hi there

    The Photo app in build 10240 seems to work just fine.

    This app AFAIK has replaced the old Windows Photo viewer -it works OK though.

    I like scrolling through the directory by using the Mouse scroll wheel - great way of navigating - or on a Touch Screen slide the photos across the screen.

    I'm not a fan usually of the Ms standard apps - but this one is VASTLY improved -- it's installed in Windows by default.

    If you are ever in Brussels near the EU Commission --GREAT PUB !!!!!.

    Alternative to Photo Viewer.

    I'd suggest IrfanView + Plugin Pack (I've used it for ~10 years).

    It lets you:
    • View images (multiple formats)
    • View videos (multiple formats)
    • Listen to audio (multiple formats)
    • Read txt & pdf files (probably other types too)
    It's is one of the first programs I install in my Windows OS installs.

    There is a Kludge: rename one of your image files in your image folder in the following way image.png -> image.tif and you will find that it opens in Windows Photo Viewer when clicked. Then you can click next or previous and scroll through ALL of your image files in that folder. Make a shortcut to that image.tif file, and put it on your desktop, rename it photo viewer, and you will be able to scroll through all your photos there, or run a slide show etc.

    What is broken is the registry associations, unless I believe you have upgraded from Windows 7 or 8, when you will have inherited those associations.

    Yup, can't agree more. I don't like the new Photo app in Windows 10, either. It fails to work on my computer. Then luckily, I found this photo viewer alternative, it works fine and even allows me to do some editing instantly. Now it has been my default photo viewer.
