Windows 10: AMD E 300

I have a HP 2000 Laptop with AMD e 300 APU 1.30 Ghz and it is super slow, even slower than my old Core 2 duo. I thought the CPU could have at least Turbo boost or 4 cores.


Does anybody know how to overclock it?

APU E-300 is a combination of central processing unit(CPU) and graphics accelerator unit(GPU) on a single chip. Since there was no problem with your graphics driver and you already have the recent update you may not install AMD software. To further assist
you, we'd like to know if you have tried checking your Device Manager to check your Display adapters.

To check if your driver is installed in your computer, kindly follow these steps:

• Type Device Manager in your search bar Ask me anything at the left hand corner of your screen.
• Expand Display adapters and check the APU E-300 driver if installed.

Hello Rose and other interested parties,

Just generally browsing this afternoon I found in Settings/System/Tablet Mode

AMD E-300 APU with Radeon (TM) Graphics 1.3 GHz., installed 19/9/2017. So it looks like this illusive software has been installed but it is not listed in installed updates nor in the computer programmes list. I am grateful for your advice and help. It now
remains to be seen whether AMD software updates will completely install which is what started this problem
