    As you can tell from my title, I am having issues outputting 4k resolution from my Acer Aspire v5-552p-x637 with AMD Radeon HD 8650G. I am trying to output the 4k HDMI cable to my new 4k to use as a monitor. Does anyone know how to diagnose this? The video card is rated to display 4k. I tried it on a laptop with an older graphics card and it worked fine. This Acer does not. I am outputting it to a 4k Roku TV if that matters. (Already tried changing name to computer and selected both HDMI 1.4 and 2.0 as input types). I have the latest AMD drivers installed as well.

    AMD Radeon HD 8570D is not fully compatible with Windows 10

    I also have this same question about Windows 10 giving me problems with my display except I have AMD Radeon HD 8650G. Will this be fixed before the roll out? Also, what are the display problems?

    I have the same question except I have an AMD Radeon HD 8650G. My drivers are up to date. Will they fix this before the roll out?

    Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.



    As per the device manufacturer’s support site, the graphics card is not designed to support Windows 10, the drivers for ATI Radeon HD 3450 graphics card are available only up to Windows 8, you can try with installing
    AMD Catalyst software Suite for Windows 8/8.1 in compatibility
    mode and see if it helps.



    • Right click the applications installation file (exe), select
      Properties andgo toCompatibility
      Tab.
    • Select the appropriate options from the list.
    • Click Apply/OK.
    • Right Click the file and select the
      Run as administrator option to install.


    I also suggest to check in device manager if the PC has integrated graphics or get in touch with the device manufacturer to check the same. You can also get the complete device specifications by entering the System Service tag
