    I understand the inconvenience that you are experiencing. I will definitely assist you.

    Based on your description, I would like to inform you that uninstall the
    ATI Mobility Radeon x1300 and upgrade to the Windows 10.

    I suggest you uninstall the graphic card. Follow the below steps:


    • Press WindowsKey + R and type
      devmgmt.msc in the box and hit Enter.

    • Locate and Expand the Display Adapter driver.

    • Right Click on the Display Device.
    • Click on uninstall.
    Now upgrade to Windows 10 once upgrade is done, I would recommend you to install the
    ATI Mobility Radeon x1300 Graphic card again using compatibility mode. To install the Graphic card in compatibility mode right click on the setup .exe file, select
    properties and Select Compatibility mode.

    This PC cant run Windows 10 reason: ATI Mobility Radeon x1300

    I have an old IBM ThinkPad that currently has Windows 7 ultimate. I clicked the Windows 10 upgrade and it can't be installed due to having ATI Radeon x1300 which is not compatible with Windows 10.

    How can I change or upgrade this to one that is compatible and what will I need? Step by step instructions will be very helpful as I am not very computer savvy. I can however follow instructions!

    Please help!!

    I cannot help as the problem is with AMD. I've have upgraded 7 PCs to Windows 10 for different friends and Intel-based machines are not problematic. If you look at the Microsoft Update Catalog (IE only) you will find drivers for Radeon X1300/X1550 under
    WP, Vista and Windows 7, but could not find one that worked on an AMD-based PC with the Radeon X1300/X1550 running Windowd 10. I've tried installing the AMD video card in an Intel machine. The Windows 7 driver installs but video performance is poor. Cannot
    help, but you might have better luck with these official drivers from Microsoft's Upgrade Catalog.
