  1. AMD Ryzen 3 3300x - Task Manager not Displaying Correct Clock Speed

I recently built a computer with an AMD Ryzen 3 3300X, and I'm having the problem where in AMD Ryzen Master, the clock speeds fluctuate and boost normally to the respective 3.8 gHz and 4.3 gHz, however in task manager it seems as though the CPU is locked at 4.0 gHz. I've made sure to reset all settings such that no overclocking of the CPU takes place. I've turned off all overclocking settings in the BIOS and was wondering if this was a windows visual bug or if the clock speed read by windows is actually only 4.0.

    Thank you in advance,

    Abdallah

How to fix Windows 10 Pro task manager from showing wrong CPU clock speeds?

How do I get Windows to show the proper clock speed?

    System Specs

    • Processor - AMD Ryzen 7 1700
    • Motherboard - Asrock x370 Killer SLI/ac
    • Memory - Corsair Vengence LPX 2666Mhz
    • OS - Microsoft Windows 10 Pro version 1709 build 16299.309
I run my system overclocked using the P-state overclocking.

Clock is wrong overclocked or not.

    Shows the correct base clock.

At one point in time I want to say it was accurate but don't remember if it was before a Windows update or perhaps before I updated my bios?

It does it on a fresh install before drivers and after.

AMD Ryzen 3 3300x - Task Manager not Displaying Correct Clock Speed

RAM not running at correct speed.

In your case both are correct. The BIOS is displaying the DDR4 speed (2133MHz) and Windows is displaying the actual clock speed of the RAM (1067MHz.) DDR4 speeds are listed as twice the clock rate because DDR transfers data twice in one clock cycle. So,
    1067*2 ~ 2133. Nothing is wrong here.
