Windows 10: AMD Switchable Graphics: How to switch GPU?

Hi,

I just upgraded my AMD Graphics driver on my notebook which has AMD Switchable (dual) Graphics.

The new GUI application is completely different, I can't seem to find where can I assign which GPU is to run the given application?

This is a notebook and I don't game a lot, I want manual control over what can use the high-performance GPU.

In the past, with the old 2018 AMD graphics app, I could easily select this but now I'm lost. Please help me find this setting!

AMD Graphics Not Switching to (Switchable/Discrete Graphics) Just (Primary/Integrated)

Hello everyone I have this problem for about 2 years now, I am trying to switch from
AMD Radeon (TM) 520 [Discrete/Switchable Graphics] because it is more powerful than my
AMD Radeon R4 [Primary/Integrated Graphics] When I try go to Switchable graphics section in the AMD Radeon Settings I have put my game to High Performance but when I launched it and checked what graphics its using is still AMD
Radeon R4!! And Then I have gone to my task manager and checked it there to be sure. But GPU 0 (AMD Radeon R4) Is still the one that is being used!! Not
GPU 1 (AMD Radeon (TM) 520) I really want a solution to this problem real quick because I am trying to play
Minecraft but I am only running on 30 FPS. Thanks For your Cooperation.

System Specs:

OS: Windows 10

RAM: DDR4 4GB

Laptop Model: HP

Graphics: AMD R4 Graphics and AMD TM 520

 

How to switch AMD Dual Graphics ?

Hi Mohammed. I'm Greg, an installation specialist and 9 year Windows MVP, here to help you.

You would want Dual Graphics to be enabled with both enabled for switching in BIOS/UEFI Setup.

Make sure your drivers are up to date, then open up the Radeon Settings, click on system, and click the switchable graphics tab. Switch the view mode from running applications to installed profiled applications. From here, any program that you wish to run under
your AMD GPU you can add, so long as you find it's .exe.
