Windows 10: An Administrator has blocked an Application from running !

i tried to run an app from a CD rom for a Trust Slimline Graphics tablet but was blocked from doing so by 'an administrator'.


As far as i am concerned, I AM the administrator and so i dont understand who this other administrator could be i.e.




I then went to the provider website and downloaded updated software for this tablet. I installed it in a separate folder other than the root directory and it installed OK. However following a necessary reboot, when i clicked on run i saw the same error message i.e.


"An administrator has blocked you from running this app" error means that the system is preventing you from running an installation .exe file, such as a hardware driver.


I then went back to the Trust website and under their FAQ's found the following:





when I hit the start button to see if the app had been installed I saw a new folder called 'Trust' but underneath was an icon called 'unistall' i.e.





does anyone know how i can run this app?

How to run blocked application in Win 10 - Bitdefender

I suggest you to follow the steps listed below and check if it works:

Enable the Built-in Admin:

• Right click on the Windows icon on the taskbar and select ‘Command Prompt (Admin)’.
  
• Copy paste the following command and hit enter:
  

net user administrator /active:yes

• Sign out from your main account and login to the ‘Administrator’ account that is enabled.
  
• Run Bitdefender.
  
• Once it’s enabled, sign out from the ‘Administrator’ account and login to your main account.
  
• Open ‘Command Prompt (Admin)’ and type the following command to disable the built-in admin:
  

net user administrator /active:no

• Close the ‘Command Prompt’ window.

How to always allow administrator permissions for a specific application

Windows Defender or another antivirus software will sometimes block a certain app or file from running or being installed. With this, you can check the
quarantine section of the antivirus program you are using to see which program is being blocked. To better assist you, we need the answers to the following questions:

• What is the exact error message did you receive after launching or running the app?
• Which antivirus program are you using?

In the meantime, we suggest disabling the Windows Defender SmartScreen and see if the app will run. To do this, simply follow the steps below:

• Type Windows Defender on the search box and click on the first option.
• On the left side of the window, click on the Window icon (App & browser control).
• On the SmartScreen for Windows
  Store apps column, select Off.
