Windows 10: An error (-5001 : 0x80070002

Hi I am having a trouble with my InstallShield Wizard (or so I think).

I was trying to install SlidCam on my laptop and received message:

Please make sure you have finished any previous setup and closed other applications.

As you are getting Realtek error 5001 0x80070002 - audio driver error

Kindly follow these steps :

1. Run SFC

Right click on the Start button, click on Command Prompt (Admin).

Type “sfc /scannow” without the quotes and hit Enter.

After the scan, restart the computer and check for the issue.

2. Perform a virus scan using Windows Defender on your device.

3. Try Security & privacy related actions.

Install all the pending updates on Windows 10.

Steps:

Connect to the internet.

Press Windows key and type updates.

Click on Check for updates.

Under Windows Updates, click on Check for updates.

Try to install the updates being shown.

Try to restart the computer after every step and check if the issue persists.

You may put your system in clean boot state and restart the computer to check if the issue persists.
