Windows 10: an unknown rectangle on my window and desktop

hello there iv not sure if this has ever happened on any of my other computers

but I got a new pc from pc specialist
and booted it up fine first couple of times and then I started to notice a little coloured rectangle on the top left corner of the screen and did some digging around on different sites and couldn't find a thing about this problem and not sure what to do about it will attach a photo with a circle around the unknown rectangle just hopefully posting on here I can find out what it is and weather its something wrong or something that can be turned off

Rectangles On My Desktop

So on my desktop every once in a while, all of my icons would disappear and this moveable rectangle would show up on the top right of my screen. If I right click the rectangles it won't do anything. Also if I go and press Win+Tab to view all my windows,
there would be an unknown application that would show up on the top left of my screen. The worse part is that I am unable to delete the application whenever I try to. I've discovered that it will go away if I restart my computer but it will always come back.
Please let me know if there is any way that I can make it go away.

 

Windows desktop cursor rectangle not 144hz

Hey! When I right click my mouse on my desktop and drag my mouse around the desktop, the blue rectangle that can be used to selected specific folders etc on the desktop is not 144hz. Everything else on my pc is working fine and runs 144hz and even when
I do the same thing in file explorer, it is 144hz and alot more smooth than when I do it on my desktop. What is causing this lag on the blue rectangle? very annoying. Please help!

Let’s try simple troubleshooting steps and check if this helps in resolving the issue. I would suggest you to restore the desktop settings and check.

• 
  Type desktop on the Windows search bar and select
  Show or hide common icons on the desktop.
  
• Now click on Restore default.

If the issue still persist, I would recommend you to perform disk cleanup and check.
