Windows 10: Anniversary to Creator update fails with 0x80070652?

So, I have a problem on 1 machine. With the upgrade assistant the update stops with error code 0x80070652

Running from usb drive from windows it looks okay and reboots a few times, but at the last step it just shuts off. After restarting theres a quick error I did not catch and it reverted to previous installation.

This is on a almost fresh install on a new intel nuc. Any ideas?

I installed the creators update on an old acer tablet (32 bit) and that worked just fine.

Running windows 10 and my update KB4022715 keeps trying to redo itself

well got the anniversary update and for few days didnt need any other updates but i seen today once again the creator security update KB4022715 is failing to install .

 

Windows 10 install problems on Acer R3700

I have an Aspire Revo R3700 that I was able to upgrade to Windows 10 by burning a DVD, adding an external DVD drive, and booting to that disk. Now it's stuck in an endless loop of trying to install the Creators Update, failing, restoring to previous
version, rebooting, reinstalling Creators Update again, failing, etc. This happened with the Anniversary update too, but I was able to "Hide" that with the tool for hiding updates.

On your existing version I would first run the the Windows Update Trouble Shooter.

Windows key + S, search bar appears, type troubleshooting into search bar, troubleshooting appears at top. Click it, window opens, lower right side "Fix problems with Windows Update", click. Window opens, click on “advance”, click on Run as administrator, click “Next”. Should run clean. If not run again.

I believe you should also disable Secure boot and Fast Boot in BIOS.
