Windows 10: ANNO 1701 // 1701 AD Windows 10

Hi all,

I'm hardly struggling on this game since it does not start on Windows 10. I remember I used to play that game on Windows XP so I tried to run it with compatibility for XP and even Run as administrator without success. I have installed the last Tages drivers because I heard that the ones that came with the game were obsolete. Nothing works.


I also tried to download this game from the Internet in order to see if it had the same problem, and the thing is that in fact it works...

Anyway, I want to play the game I purchased(original), and I'm really struggling. Any help? Thanks in advance,

Windows 10 1701 update issues

Hi Joshua,

User profile corruption is one of the possible reasons why you encountered performance issues after installing a few updates in Windows 10. To troubleshoot the issue, we suggest creating a new user account on your computer and see if the same issues will
occur while on a different user profile. To do this, simply follow the steps below:

• 
  Select the Start button, then select Settings > Accounts > Family
  & other people > Add someone else to this PC.
  
• 
  Type a user name, password, password hint, and then select Next.
  

You can also try running the System File Checker tool to help you find any missing or corrupted system files. To do this, follow the steps below:

• Select Start , and in the search box, enter Command Prompt. Press and hold (or right-click) Command Prompt (Desktop app) from the search results and select Run
  as administrator.
• Enter DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth (note the spaces before each "/").
• Enter sfc /scannow (note the space between "sfc" and "/")
