Yes, David, it is 14352. I didn't specify since the subject of the thread is 14352.

BTW, I have since also verified that, although the ODD is not shown in File Explorer or Disk Management, it is listed in the BIOS Boot order.

Do you know how to create an ISO file from build 14352 ?
ESD to ISO - Create Bootable ISO from Windows 10 ESD File

If you can follow the tutorial and create an iso file, you can burn the file to a bootable media such as DVD or USB.
Then you can use the media to do a clean install.
    https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/1...n-install.html
You will need to backup files you want to keep.
Clean Install does not allow you to keep anything.

  6. LastPass bumps required OS ver to prevent people from installing using Store.
    This magical thing called sideloading.

Yes, David, I'm aware that what you describe would quite probably fix the problem. However, I'm not prepared at this point to go that far. If I can't fix this, I'll wait and see what the next build does. This happened to me in a prior build and the next build that came along fixed it.

I certainly appreciate your comments though and the time you spent trying to help.

This build marked the first time since I've been in the Insider program (since 10/2014) that I could not get the build to download...I waited overnight, changed the settings and rebooted several times but it did not matter. The registry looked right to me...but as I say I'd never had the problem so I never looked all that closely before. Anyway, I wound up creating an ISO for build 14352, and installed that as an in-place upgrade over my former 14342 installation, and everything went like clockwork...this build seems really nice--like Microsoft is well on the way to making the entire build one very nice version of Windows. I really like what they've done for the Anniversary edition of the OS--think it's by far the best Windows yet.

Anyway--I use Firefox 64-bit D.E. and have to say that I'm not having any problems with it and this build. I mention this for a reason...because a several builds back I dumped the 32-bit version of Firefox and moved to the x64 Developer Edition--and I have never looked back. The D.E. is far better than the "regular" version of the browser--indeed, I had had problems as you describe them (with Firefox x86) several times with different builds, actually. That is what prompted me to move to the x64 DE version of the browser--and there's an enormous difference, imo. The x64 version of Firefox is leaps and bounds better--my wife, running her version of x86 Firefox, also ran into similar problems occurring on a regular basis--again, much as you've described them here--but she's running strictly the commercial build of 10586.xxx--no Insider builds for her. So I replaced her x86 version with the x64 version of the browser and--guess what?--I cannot remember the last time I had problems like you've mentioned...Announcing Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 14352 ;) The x64 version of Firefox seems to have taken care of both of us...! Just wanted to relate my experience and pass it on--Firefox is my favorite browser--and the x64 DE is the best version of Firefox...at least for me and my wife...Announcing Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 14352 ;) Oh, if you are worried that you will never use the "developer" portion of the browser--don't be, because x64 DE works exactly like x86 non-developer Firefox--and if you don't use the developer features you'll simply never see them at all. It's just like running the x86 version of Firefox--only heaps better, imo! Give it a shot...Announcing Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 14352 ;)

I just got build 14352.1002 and the ODD does not show in File Explorer's Navigation Pane [left column] but it is in the list when clicking This PC, drive H: on mine due to the card reader in the computer.

Looks like this build did break Firefox, won't fully open.

EDIT: It also broke the Win8 Games, allows installing the Win8 Games but does not allow them to be opened.

I've done that, but when it came back up, things proceeded as per normal. Several builds back, though.

This is really weird, on all physical machines, on none of the virtual machines!

When the notification area shows my audio output is muted (#1), it's actually on, not muted and working perfectly (#2):

When I mute audio in Volume Mixer (#2) or pressing the mute button on my keyboard, the notification area shows audio is unmuted and working although it really is muted (#1):

My taskbar is vertically on left, screenshot might look weird, but you get my point.
