Windows 10: Announcing Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 14946 for PC and Mobile

Playing with Translate add-on for Edge, I must say there's a big difference how good and reliably it translates to different languages.

Testing with Finnish and Swedish, my two native languages, Finnish translation of this page is gibberish, grammatically absolutely wrong, almost impossible to understand:




But then again Swedish translation although far from perfect is easy to understand, the context and message can be understood, grammatically that would pass a Swedish test:

Would be interesting if you other non-native English speakers would test it, to see how well it translates English to your native languages.

 

Kari it would also be good if all of us who only speak English were not so lazy and learned other languages. I include myself in that statement *Sad

 

I am far from lazy and have no desire to learn another language.

Not a good choice for small (could be great! but in limited numbers...) nations languages, in my opinion. Good thing is, we can always tell a foreign fraud mail. *Smile

 

Understandable but grammatically wrong with some misspellings.

This is one area where Microsoft has still lots to do. Comparing Google translate and Bing translate, Google wins easily.

One of the new features (was already in 14942) I like very much is the option to toggle Start to only show all apps list or pinned tiles. Those not yet tested it, see the tutorial: Start Menu App List - Hide or Show in Windows 10 - Windows 10 Forums
