Windows 10: Announcing Windows 10 Insider Preview Skip Ahead Build 17655 - Apr. 25

All finished and iso made. Very slow install. Started to install, installed, then repeated install sequence before asking for restart. Don't know why. Total time before restart was 1 hour. After restart, usual sequence. Stopped to make iso from uuptoiso. So, I don't know whether I can make the use of new connection to internet that Brink was talking about.
After rereading the startup dialog about broadband - don't use cellular broadband connectivity so, no, I cannot test this.

 

Updated, took a while for such little new content.

 

Only enrolled on Skippy two hours ago from Insider Preview to Build 17650....now have Updated to build 17655....pity I did not wait a couple of hours as two updates, one on top of the other....tests ones resolve to participate as an Insider.

 

Missing files added and all good.

I simply updated the tool and ran it again.

 

I am running 17134.1, I know the skip ahead is closed, I wonder if I could in place upgrade from 17655 ISO setup?

This build isn't looking to good so far. I totally lost Bluetooth and I have a unknown USB device listed in Device Manager. I'm doing a repair install to see if that helps. If not I'm going to try a clean install.

 

GSOD and reverted to 17650. I'm going to try running setup.exe = perhaps from a DVD. If that fails I skip this build - it;s gotten poor reviews. Fairly disenchanted with Skippy right now.

 

- left clicking on a link in YouTube doesn't register when attempting to transfer it, via copy and paste..
- had to use CTRL+V to paste the link to the "What are you listening to?" forum..

- don't know yet if this is a permanent glitch, but it persisted after a restart.. (??)

 

The repair install and 2 reboots fixed my Bluetooth and unknown USB device problem. *Smile I also fixed a problem I was having since I did a clean install of Build 17650. I kept getting a VCRuntime140.dll is missing error. I had to download the 32 bit version of Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable Update 3 RC. The 64 bit version didn't help. Finished upgrading one machine from 17134 to 17655... So far so good, no problem(s) to report.
