Windows 10: Announcing Windows 10 Mobile Insider Preview Build 10166

Nope. Camera still doesn't work in this build on Lumia 1520 even after updated app. *Sad

 

Yes, the calculator works now. It had to download it from the store.

For some reason, it creates tiles for apps that it does not install, so it had to go to the store to get it. In 10149, this caused it to shut down. Works now in 10166. Although I notice that the tile transparency is now gone..

 

Works in 925, 930 still "pending", apprently it lost the WiFi signal? I cannot keep this build. Everything possible turned off, yet the phone tells me that as it "only" has half of the battery capacity left, it will be enough for only an hour and a half usage.

 

It's not this build, as i'm running my 930 with it just fine.. battery life has been solid all day on 10149, and still solid after the upgrade. And I have nothing disabled.

Let me repeat. "And still solid after the upgrade", as in Upgrade to 10166.

 

So still no way to install on my Lumia 530 that has 4Gb of space. Even a fresh install with everything removed, leaves no space for install once the preview is downloaded.

There should be a way to install from recovery or SD Card.

 

Let me repeat: My Lumia 925 with build 10166 used its battery at the rate of over 20% per hour which for me is totally unacceptable. Bluetooth, location NFC and such turned off. Reverting back to 8.1 I am back in my average 2 to 2.5% per hour, this time location turned on.

 

I can't get the 'Insider' to reinstall on my 635,
and, my 635 is right FUBAR!

I had to restore 8.1 on one phone, the tool does the job nice and well.

I'm saying that my 930 battery functions fine, so it can't be the build.

 

How come my desktop is downloading 10166 professional?

 

Just updated my Nokia 620 from 8.1 to 10166 - no problems!
Most impressed ( and very surprised ) as I had tried an earlier build which was a disaster and meant reverting back to 8.1. So far battery seems fine and my email accounts work in Outlook Mail.

 

I bought a little Lumia 532 for the sole purpose of playing around with it and install Windows 10. I did that today and it was very painless although a few things have changed, I seem to have lost Cortana, not sure about anything else, I'll play around with it over the next couple of days.
I'm hoping Microsoft keeps developing some decent phones because so far I like what I'm seeing. All I need is Navigation, music, photos and some other bits and pieces which MS has and I'm good to go.

 

I did the same thing *Smile How big is your 532 memory? I only have a 4Gb model and have not found a way to put Windows 10 on it.
