  1. Anomalous wireless adapter settings after updates

    My specs: Ryzen 3 3.2Ghz
    Gtx 1050ti
WiFi card- TP link :qualcom atheros communications Inc
    8GB of DDR4 3200Mhz RAM

After several updates I have lost the ability to connect to WiFi, The router appears but when I try to connect it says "unable to connect to this network".
On closer inspection in the network adapter settings in the advanced tab I only have: 802.1 1b preference: long and short

    Ad-hoc: 11n

Dynamic MMO power save : disabled

    Network address: not present

    Receive buffers: value: 256

    Scan valid interval: 60

    Transmit buffers: 512

There is no option to select the preferred frequency (2.4/5.2Ghz) aswell as many other options that are normally available on windows ten (according to looking at two other computer settings and screenshots online).
Could this be the cause of the problem? If so, could I fix it without reinstalling windows?.

I have installed the latest drivers from the manufacturers website via USB, nothing I have tried has fixed it apart from reinstalling windows.

    :)
