    Another Easeus Todo User Issue........

    Hi,

First time on this forum, and apologies in advance for the length of the post.

I am in the process of upgrading a Windows 10 Lenovo Ideapad 320 1TB HDD with a Seagate Barracuda 1TB SSD, and using Easeus todo to clone the SSD.

Initial results were encouraging, with the partitions being identical in size, so there I was thinking this will be easy.....famous last words!!!

I'm now on day 4 of trying to get the laptop to recognise the SSD in the Boot Up menu, but without success. With the SSD installed, I receive the "Set-up Initialisation" error message, but using Alt and Tab allows me to press enter, but then the black screen of doom.

When I go into the BIOS with the SSD installed, it does not show up at all so unable to direct it to use the SSD first. When I reinstall the HDD and then connect the SSD via a USB/SATA3 cable, it DOES show the SSD.

So I thought I would try setting the SSD on the USB as the first boot up option, but this just brought up a repair message and didn't do anything for several hours.

So a case of pause and deep breaths rather than keep getting frustrated. However, I did notice on rechecking the SSD that it does not appear to have cloned the Boot. In my own mind, I was thinking that I would try recloning from the HDD to the SSD again, but I am now getting a partition error message as per the attached image.

Now I suspect it may be a case of resetting the SSD to it's original state, and starting the cloning process from scratch. However, I'm not sure if there is something I have missed to ensure that the Boot is also cloned (I did select all partitions of the HDD to clone).

Just wondering (hoping!!) that someone may be able to advise on the best way to proceed with this.

    Many thanks.

    :)

    EaseUS todo backup

    1. Click disk and partition backup

    2. EITHER tick the box next to the Disk - then you could untick any partitions you don't want to include

    3. OR - hover over a partition and a checkbox appears. Make sure boxes of any partitions you want image are ticked (in this case, I only ticked one partition)

    4. Click Browse to select destination of image file.

It is suggesting L:\My Backups as destination - you can change that by browsing to a different destination

On the right is where I would normally make the backup for he Cdrive. How it selects the D drive for creating the backup, I have NO idea.

Now I want create a back by a different window in EaseUS. I would select "Disk/Partition backup on the left.

This is the next window to open:

I see where to select the destination, but HOW do I tell it which partition to backup??

Then when I get it backed up, how would I restore the backup image to the Cdrive?

BTW I am using the free version of EaseUS todo.

    Any help is appreciated.
