  1. Another Kernel Power 41 Thread

    Hi folks,

After working on this issue for months I've decided to finally start asking. I have a PC that keeps going down with Kernel Power 41 in the event log. I've tried just about every software fix the internet has to suggest and even formatted the drive a few days ago.

    All to no avail.

This has me thinking its probably a hardware problem, but I don't want to go broke replacing components.

    System details:

    Dual Geforce 1070ti/SLI
    Windows 10 x64 version 20H2
    ASUS X99 WS/IPMI
    Xeon E5-2643 v3
    32gb RAM

All of the components either came from my stock or were purchased second hand from reputable sources. I'm hoping I can get some suggestions on how to test what.

    A few things:

*The CPU is definitely good, I used it for years in another system.
*The PSU is iffy, it reads fine on the PSU tester and worked for years in another system, but its some weird off-brand
*Have tried the system with and without SLI, no difference

It happens mostly when I'm trying to play games though has hit a few times when not. The system is a dedicated gaming rig, so it will happily sit on the windows desktop for days without issue, then go 5 minutes into a game. Yet for some reason it survives burn-in test without a hiccup.

    I'm frankly baffled. Like I said, I've tried every update drivers/change power settings/disable sound cards/flash bios/update bios/sfc scannow/reformat pc/etc suggestion I've seen.

I just don't know where to go from here.

    :)

  2. Kernel-Power event id 41. BugcheckCode 0

    Hello,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

In-order to get more clarity on this issue and to assist you with appropriate troubleshooting steps, reply with answers to the below questions:

    1. Are you aware of any changes made on your PC, prior to this issue?
    2. Is this issue specific while playing a particular game?
    3. Which edition of Windows are you currently using?

A Kernel Power Event 41 can occur in the following scenarios.

Scenario 1: The computer restarts, and there is a Stop error BugcheckCode in the event data.

Scenario 2: The computer is shut down by pressing and holding the power button.

Scenario 3: The system randomly restarts and no Stop error BugcheckCode is listed, or the computer is completely unresponsive (hard hang).

I suggest you refer the article on Kernel
    Power Event ID 41
and follow the steps for the scenario that is causing this error on your PC.

Additionally, you can refer the article on Windows
Kernel event ID 41 error "The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first" in Windows

    and check if that helps.

  3. Kernel 41 Power issue

    Hello,

When the computer shuts down or restarts unexpectedly, the Kernel Power Event ID 41 error occurs. Upon starting a computer running Windows, the system checks whether the computer was properly shut down. If the computer was not properly turned off, a Kernel
Power Event 41 message is generated.

Regarding the error that you're getting, we suggest that you check the solution provided by
