Windows 10: Another scam... ????

Discus and support Another scam... ???? in AntiVirus, Firewalls and System Security to solve the problem; Last night I got a red screen and an automated message saying I need to call a number to get this fixed.     Another scam... ????


    Last night I got a red screen and an automated message saying I need to call a number to get this fixed. My screen was locked and I could not get rid of the message. I was not savvy enough to copy the screen.


    I called the number and was told I had a Microsoft network security breach. I guess stupidly I allowed the computer to be cleaned up and then was charged over $900 for a three year protection plan. I need to know if Softech Solutions/Giltedge Solutions is a scam.


    PLEASE HELP.. and what do I do if this happens again as I fear it will.
