  1. Antimalware Service Executable Destroying PC Performance

I had recently bought a desktop HP Pavilion with the GTX 1650 Super and 8G of memory, and up until recently, the performance was optimal for everything I wanted to do. Then, as of a few days ago, I noticed it taking slightly longer to boot start-up clients like Steam sign-in and Discord, and my framerates began tanking in some games. I launch task-manager and discover that Antimalware Service Executable aka Defender is the culprit. Not the first time this has happened, as I bought this system due to my laptop suffering the same issue. However, stopping real-time scans on my laptop kept the performance on it acceptable, I figured it would never be a problem for my desktop. Turns out, it is.

I've already tried disabling real-time scans, as well as other solutions. I've added a DWORD value in registry, added the folder for Defender to the exclusion list, and scheduled the scanning times outside of working/playing hours with task scheduler. NONE of it worked and has made my PC performance WORSE, with Defender now taking up a whopping 6% of my CPU and fluctuating above and below 200mb, with nothing more than Wallpaper Engine running.

Needless to say, I'm really upset. This PC that was an absolute beast for anything that I specifically needed it to do for the last three weeks is now suddenly being hindered by a pre-installed antivirus. Is there any solution to PERMANENTLY stop Antimalware Service Executable from consuming so much of my PCs performance?

    :)
