    Antimalware Service Executable is blocking access to Google Chrome


    So I started up my computer today only to find that whenever I tried to open Google Chrome it would instantly close. I found it strange since it worked just fine yesterday, so I checked my task manager to find out the problem. As it turns out, whenever I open Google Chrome the Antimalware Service Executable would automatically run itself, using up around 30% of my cpu and all of its efforts to kill the malignant tumor that is Chrome. I've tried multiple ways to fix this issue, such as 1. Re-installing chrome, 2. Creating a shortcut and messing with the privileges in it, 3. Rebooting several times, 4. I also ran a full scan on my computer which took over 3 hours but that didn't change anything other than keeping the thing running even after the scan, taking up 15% of my cpu constantly. Point is, this ****'s broken and I need help to fix it.

    Too often the PC (an I7 one, 8 GB EliteBook HP) is stuck and even the response of a keyboard entry is very slow!!

    Any suggestions?
