Windows 10: Any ideas about unlocking a Centurylink email account; block may well be by a spammer or...

Starting this morning, I was greeted by MailWasher deleting over two hundred new messages when I told it to Mail Wash, and it got worse. I cannot access the account on line, I cannot access the Centurylink email pages, although I did get to one by disabling Malwarebytes, but there the chat program kept telling me to request a form, which only put some circling line segments on the screen.About the only thing I can do is to send test messages from Thunderbird to my wife's Clink email account, and I can continue to use Gmail, but as I do so rarely, my email accounts are nearly 100% for Clink. Have had difficulty with centurylink email account - I am unable to get it back on Windows 10 - the account is there but can not receive or send emails

 

Junk email

It's a never-ending battle. They spammers change their email addresses, so while the previous spammers email address was added to the blocked senders list, the new one is not. The only way to combat this is to engage the high sensitivity filters, which basically block all but people you have in your contacts list. This means all email goes to your junk mail filter unless the sender is in your contacts. But, this means you can't get any email from senders you aren't expecting unless you check your junk mail folder and add them to your contacts.

This also isn't perfect, since the spammers use tricks like using your own email address as the source, or hijacking your friends email accounts and sending spam from their accounts.

 

Spammers using Nokiamail

I'm not sure if your aware of this or not, but your free e-mail is becoming an issue with spammers using it to sign up at websites and is getting very close to being added to DNSBL. I'm guessing from the ease of signup for it and lack of a proper reporting
engine in your service as the reason for spammers being attracted to Nokiamail.



I suggest that you correct the problems before nokiamail.com emails are all blocked due to the issue.
