Windows 10: Any issues with a new Win11 update?

I had to roll back a Win11 update in November ? to a previous release as the then update slowed my computer new HP Pavillion considerably, the consensus being among users that the update messed things up. The roll back cured it. For a few weeks I'm now getting prompts for an "update" but have ignored them so far until I see what others have found.. Is this a brand new update or just the same one from a few months ago that didn't work for my computer? What build is the newest update?I just checked my System and I'm seeing numerous updates in the last few weeks to a month or so and find thes

Win11 Health Check won't run due to 'my organization'

Thanks ... very useful. Here is what I got ...

• Sure, my current boot method isn't right - using CSM
• Disk partition is off - fine ... just looking to install Win 11 to a brand new SSD and build my PC install around it
  might due boot between win10 and win11 for a while
• secure boot - I guess I can turn that on

Any suggestions? All I want to do is install Win11 on a new SSD and then think about which PC to put it in. Does it really matter if the installing PC isn't up to snuff / specs?

 

Win11 upgrade not coming

If you checked again my previous replies, you can see ASUS re-installed my new notebook a even newer Win10 Home installation. After this 2nd time installation, I only did these to the toy:

1. installed chrome
   
2. changed its display brightness
   
3. changed wallpaper
   

After your previous suggestion, the 1 month temp McAfee was gone.

I can't figure out why I can't upgrade to Win11 for such a new notebook. Newer notebook will come with Win11 natively

 

Intel Readies P55 Chipset B3 Stepping Update

Intel's is readying a hardware update for its P55 Express chipset, currently the only core-logic for the company's brand new socket LGA-1156 processor platform. The new B3 stepping of the P55 PCH will bring with it a little more than new MM number and S-spec numbers. A list of changes is as follows:

• New MM number and S-spec numbers for the converted products;
• Firmware and minor BIOS updates are required with the conversion;
• Processor MRC/microcode update required to enable future processors;
• Recommended storage driver upgrade from Intel MSM 8.9 to Intel RST 9.5.

Although it is listed that the MRC update enables 'future processors', Intel, in a statement issued to X-bit labs assured that the current B2 stepping of the chipset (found on current socket LGA-1156 motherboards) does not leave out support for any of Intel's new LGA-1156 processors that are slated for release in the very near future. The dual-core "Clarkale" 32 nm processor will be supported by both B2 and B3 steppings of the chipset.

P55 B3 stepping is pin-identical to P55 B2, and hence motherboard vendors will not have to come up with new designs. Sampling of the new stepping began as early as on October 02, 2009, and it is scheduled for shipment to manufacturers by the 7th of December, 2009. P55 is the performance core-logic for the LGA-1156 platform. It supports Core i5 and Core i7 "Lynnfield" processors with discrete graphics.
