Windows 10: Any reason why windows security is totally blank? I tried looking it up but nothing came up

360 TOTAL SECURITY

I believe it is a trogan Anti Virus. The reason I say that, is if you did not knowingly download it then it's there maliciously.

My Dad got infected. This happened a few weeks ago when he asked me about some issues he was having incuding no audio, and now no internet.

I've been too busy to go look at it but found some time on Thanksgiving before dinner at my parent's house. I asked him what the 'security' pop up on his desktop was and he replied he did not know.

Knowing my Dad, he probably got some pop up on the internet and thought it was a legit source (i.e. MS or even a site tricking him into thinking it was his own computer warning him) and he inadvertanly downloaded '360 Total Security'. So I went to the contol
panel to 'unistall programs' to see what he has installed. Total Security 360 does NOT show up in control panel.

I next tried to end the process in task manger and got 'access denied'. I also tried the Windows repair process during boot up and nothing changed.

I am still researching the issue and that is how I came upon your post. The process that I will try is explained at this link How to remove Total Security (Uninstall Guide).

 

Windows 10 Store opens for no reason by it's self.

To resolve the issue with your Windows Store, we suggest that you reset it by following the steps listed:

• Press Windows Key + R to open Run.
• Type wsreset.exe, and click OK.

It will show a command prompt window which is blank, but it is clearing the cache. Just wait for the Store to close and open automatically.

Suggest me best total security/antivirus for windows 7

I don't think many, if any, will agree with me here, but I have finally settled on the best antivirus program I've found: CSA. Common Sense Antimalware.

No matter which one you get, everyone single security program will fail to catch malicious software at some point, or at least be unable to remove something it finds. So at some point, you're probably going to take some manual steps to remove it, just like you would if you had none. And I recommend reinstalling Windows regularly anyway. So the difference between having security software and not having it, for the malicious software that is really problematic, is that with the security software installed, you run into more conflicts and system slowdown, and have to do regular updates.

Instead of counting on something always running in the background, I suggest thinking smart on the sites you visit and the files you download. Google everything unfamiliar or even slightly suspicious before accessing it in any way. Don't even click on ads; Google the product being advertised first. Porn is the worst; if you wanna look at it, do so on well-known, reputable sites.

I've been running "CSA" instead of an actual antivirus program for two years now. They've been the most malware-free years of my computing life.
