Windows 10: any way to get around "someone else being in my Microsoft account"

Because of this issue I have to be posting from my alt account.

Basically here's what happened, my surface pro broke, I took it to the store to get it repaired, as they repaired it they gave me a loaner laptop. They were not able to fix it and just replaced it. I am now attempting to set up my new surface but it's saying someone else is in my account and I have to change my password to get back in. I have my password committed to muscle memory at this point so like most people I imagine, I don't wanna change it. I think I know what's causing the problem, I forgot to wipe the loaner (a possibly stupid mistake but I made it) and now it thinks there are too many people on my account or something, it's gonna be wiped by the store I imagine but I don't know if that will help.


Basically what I want to know is, if I wait long enough and the store wipes the loaner will it get rid of the flag. If not does anyone know if I can just call up Microsoft support and tell them no one else is in my account?

As an initial troubleshooting step I suggest you to try remove & re-add account & check if the issue persists.

Remove & Re-Add account:

  Click on the Settings Icon.

  Select Manage Accounts.
  
• 
  Click on the account name.
  
• 
  Select the option remove account & reconfigure account.

I suggest you backup your personalized files first before removing the account.
To delete an account, follow these steps:

1. Press WIN + X keys and click Command Prompt (Admin) from the menu.
2. Type the following command and press Enter. Replace test with the name of your sister's account. Code:

Edge Search Does Not Permit Change of Region

We have reproduce the issue here and we are able to access non-regional search for google using Microsoft Edge.
I would suggest you to try the below steps and check if it helps.
Step 1:
Clear browsing data option of Microsoft Edge and check if you face the issue. To do so perform the steps below.

1. Click on the More actions icon next to the feedback icon present on top right corner of the Project Spartan homepage.
2. Select Settings and click on Choose what to clear.
3. Check the boxes Browsing history, Cookies and saved website data and Cached data and files and click on Clear.

Step 2:
I suggest you to create a new user account and check if the issue occurs.

1. Go to Settings.
2. Choose Accounts and then select Family and other users.
3. Select add someone else on this PC.
4. Enter a user name and hit next.
5. Click on Finish.
6. Sign out from the current Account and Log into the new account.

Step 3:
It could also happen because of network issue. I suggest you to try with different network connection and check if it helps.
