Any way to get Charms Bar on non-touch screen

I have been testing Win 10, on my desktop, and even though I go to Start Screen instead of desktop view, I can't seem to get charms bar up with my mouse. I can use Win key + C but that is so cumbersome, are their absolutely no corner options available?

    :)

can i move the action center to my second monitor?

This is a much needed option. I have 3 monitors. My center primary monitor is for gaming and what not. My right side is a wacom cintiq touch. I swipe on the touch screen sitting on my right and the action center comes out on the primary where I cannot
touch input. Makes no sense. The Charms bar worked perfectly with this setup. Why would they make the action center any different if it is meant to replace charms bar?

How to enable touch screen mode in Windows 10

You can always bring the charm bar by pressing the "Windows key+C".

    Not with a touch screen!

We all seem to be having different experiences. This is what I found works. It is no advantage over using those two keys, though.
In the start screen only, if you right click, you get an option for "rename groups" and "settings", which takes you to the charms bar

Thank you all, these are at least somewhat helpful..
What about touch users? will these options all be gone? I liked all of the touch options.

Thus far windows 10 is my least favorite of the interfaces, I am truly hoping they don't strip all of things that makes Windows 8.1 a great OS

The touch options currently work. If you have a touchpad with edge swipes enabled, it'll also open Charms when you swipe inward from the right side of the touchpad.

Umm, I had Windows TP on my touch laptop (since removed it), and the only thing I could get to come up was the Charms bar. Perhaps, I didn't have something set right. Thanks.

It just depends on what plans MS has with it in future build releases. *Smile

I can confirm it works with an edge swipe on my laptops touch pad. It didn't in the previous build, I had to do the Windows key + C to get it. The Hot corners don't work in this and didn't work in the previous builds. I'm running the Enterprise TP. I don't have a touch screen.

    Hi there

Works with a LEFT swipe only on an HP envy sleekbook touch laptop. If you RIGHT swipe nothing happens. For Right handers the LEFT SWIPE IMO is counter intuitive.

There's also no way I can see to switch to get the Tiles (modern UI) on the laptop if you booted with the "Classic start menu".

    Cheers

  15. Yeah, that doesn't sound right. On my touchpad its a right to left swipe on the right hand side/edge. The same way it opens on screen. I actually find it annoying as I open it by accident all the time. I usually don't look down when I want to use the touch pad. I put my fingers on the palm rest and slide over till I feel the touch pad. That almost always opens the charms bar. Normally I would turn off that gesture and use the hot corner but the hot corner doesn't work in W 10.

When I first installed, Boot To desktop was checked and greyed out. You couldn't uncheck it to boot to the Start Screen. Some time latter it became a changeable option. I don't know what unlocked it. My guess was a Windows update that I did shortly after installing.
