Any way to get Win10 Home and Pro on one USB drive?

I used the Media Creation Tool to make a Win 10 Pro upgrade flash drive which has worked fine. I then tried to use that same drive on a friend's laptop today and I kept getting prompted for a Product Key. I realized that he was running Home Premium and the flash drive was going to install 10 Pro.

The Windows 10 folders don't seem to have the ei.cfg file any more so I'm wondering if anyone knows of a way I can get Home and Pro on the same drive so I don't have to use up 2 drives or keep redoing the drive with whichever version I need at the time.

    Thanks.

    :)

Windows 10 home to Windows 10 pro to clean install of Windows 10 pro

    Hello, all.

This PC came with Win10 Home. I bought the Win10 pro upgrade for $99 from the Windows store, and install it. At that point Win10 pro was installed and activated.

How do I now do a clean install of this Win10 pro (from Win10 home) upgrade?

    Thanks.

(P.S. I tried a clean install from a Win10 pro iso. usb, but after this install the PC showed Win10 home again)

upgrade from win10 home to pro using a win8 product key

I understand the upgrade path from retail or OEM .

What I want to do is use the free upgrade from win7 home

OEM licenses to windows 10 home licenses first.

Then upgrade the windows 10 home OEM version to windows 10

pro version; with the last step to win8.0 pro retail key

On the last step above, will the licenses stay on a OEM licenses or change to retail key ????

or is this not even achievable unless I do the install buy media, usb or dvd.

If that is the case than doing the same method from win7 to win8.0 pro would be a more direct route; but the issue is still if I can upgrade win 7 home OEM to win 8.0 pro with a retail

    key??????

If that is the case neither route will get the end results win7 home to win 10 pro; unless at one time I do the upgrade with media, usb or dvd, wiping what ever previous operating system was installed before that one.

Win7 home to win10 home or win8.0 pro; then upgrade to win10 pro with a mix of OEM and retail keys.

    Thanks

That looks promising. Just says Windows 10 and doesn't specify Home vs Pro. Trying it now and we'll see how it goes.

    Thanks

  7. It's both, Home and Pro. If you use it on a PC that doesn't have an embedded key you should get a menu asking you to chose Home or Pro, then a prompt for the product key. When used on a PC with an embedded key it auto install based on the key detected with no prompts to chose.

Any way to get Win10 Home and Pro on one USB drive?

Seems to me the only difference in the downloads is whether I wanted the 32-bit or 64-bit version as either download has the Home and Pro software, depended upon what I was trying to upgrade and would choose the proper path.

I did use the choice of Both to get the 32-bit and 64-bit install files onto a USB Thumb drive yesterday, about 5.5GB. Looks like there will be a choice to make as to which will be installed but I won't know for sure until later today or tomorrow, will be an Upgrade on one and update on another. The necessary files are on the drive as shown in the left panel of this image with the version number in the right panel. The left panel also shows the 10586.11 updates files I obtained for offline installing, names starting with Cumulative.
