Windows 10: Any way to remove applications names on top of Windows in task/timeline view?

So far I only managed to find a .reg fix that removes names in Alt+Tab view, but it would be great to get rid of them since the way they're animated is annoying: they blink out of nowhere making the whole windows animation no smooth. Thanks!

Windows 10 Task View / Timeline

After years of flawless operation, Task View / Timeline now only shows accessed files (word, excel, pdf, and so on) and random web activity (for instance, among 7 or 8 web pages I have accessed, it only shows one or two or even none at all).

Any suggestions for fixing? I have already put every switch in Privacy to on.

Windows 10 task view assign applications

The virtual desktops feature in Windows 10 is called “Task View” and is located on the Taskbar.

I suggest you to follow the steps and check if it helps.

Step 1: Click Task view. When you open the Task View interface for the first time, or you only have one desktop, the “Add a desktop” button is available.

Step 2: Click it to add virtual desktop.

Step 3: Open the apps that you want to use on that desktop.

Step 4: Click Task view again to switch between desktops.

Windows 10 Task View Timeline - Internet Explorer

I have multiple personal computers configured to use the new task view timeline and I see many application references are present as I would expect. There is one that is missing though, and that is Internet Explorer. Since Internet Explorer is the only
browser that supports "Open with Explorer" in SharePoint Online which our organization uses we must require that all users at a minimum have and use Internet Explorer as a standard. Using other browsers is fine, but those other browsers are not able to take
advantage of several features in SharePoint Online that only Internet Explorer can.

Why does Internet Explorer not show up in the task view timeline?
