  1. Anyone else seeing unfixable bootres.dll corruption after June 2019 cumulative update?

After the June 2019 cumulative update was applied my machine failed on reboot and subsequent automatic recovery also failed. The SRT log file says that it's a problem with bootres.dll.

All of the various fixes on the web relating to problems with bootres.dll seem to be about a year old. I've tried pretty much all of them and in the end had to reset (i.e. reinstall without losing files) to get the machine back. However, before anything else was installed I applied the update just to prove that it was the culprit and, sure enough, exactly the same problem occurred. I can probably defer updates for a short period, but after that I'm really going to need a solution!

Is anyone else seeing this? Any ideas?

    :)
