    Anyway to send messages via the Notification function


    Hi folks

    Some Ms applications use the Notifications for informing the user about events that have happend - e.g restart required, or Outlook notifying when emails arrive etc so presumably there must be an API call somewhere.

    Is this "User accessible" as I could find several uses for issuing notifications --e.g after background scheduled backup has run, a background VM has re-started or all sorts of things. It could be included in scripts after batch jobs have finished etc.

    Anybody ??

    Yeah, thats not a solution she is interested in......I've suggested that course of action. Thanks though.

    Just to clarify, I feel that there MUST be a step, or series of steps to turn off JUST the wireless notification sound. Thats what Im driving @ here.

    Not a bad feature suggestion as it saves you time getting to the gist of the message. EVGA, Anandtech, and OCN has the feature on their site.

    Anyway to send messages via the Notification function

    Viber - No notifications for incoming messages

    Viber does not send notifications for incoming messages.

    I have to open the app to check if any messages have arrived.

    The application is not listed in the "notifications+actions" list either.
