    APC_INDEX_MISMATCH BSoDs with dump files, please help


    So I've had BSoDs for a while now, posted this message a few weeks ago.


    My last post


    I reverted my video drivers to some really old ones and I thought I had my issue fixed, went over 2 weeks without a BSoD.


    I recently added 3 case fans that have RGB, not sure if it has anything to do with anything, but afterwards started getting BSoDs again.


    They are all the same it appears.


    Here are 3 of that last BSoD dump files, can anyone look at them and tell me what is causing the issue?

    Any help would be amazing.


    Also maybe unrelated, but at one point today my system just completely powered off. No BSoD.

  2. BSOD: APC_INDEX_MISMATCH igdkmd64.sys

    I'm running on the same Windows 10 installation for maybe 2 years now. The last days I'm experiencing BSODs (for example while loading Netflix in Edge) from the same source:

    APC_INDEX_MISMATCH igdkmd64.sys

    Some say you need to update your Intel Graphics driver, but mine is up-to-date. Tried using the Driver Verifier according to

    this guide
    and obtained a minidump (see attachment 2 and 3) but couldn't get into Windows anymore with Driver Verifier enabled.

    What can I do to find the source of this issue and resolve it?

    I understand that you get a Blue Screen error with “APC_INDEX_MISMATCH” when trying to install Audio drivers. I’ll certainly help you with this.



    However, please let us know:



    • Are you aware of any changes made to the computer recently?
    • Which build version of Windows 10 are you using currently? To check type:
      winver in the search bar on the Taskbar and hit
      Enter.
    • What is the make and model of the computer?


    An incompatible system driver causes the Blue screen error APC_INDEX_MISMATCH. For more information see

    Bug Check 0x1: APC_INDEX_MISMATCH
    .



    I would suggest you to refer the troubleshooting steps mentioned in the article

    Troubleshoot blue screen errors
    and check if that helps.



    However, I would also suggest you to share the dump files so that we can analyze them and get to the root cause of the issue. To share the files Navigate to
    C:\Windows\Minidump, upload the files to OneDrive and share the OneDrive link.

    Hi Groggubus,

    Welcome to the 10forums APC_INDEX_MISMATCH BSoDs with dump files, please help :)

    Please remove / disable items from the startup in taskmanager
    These programs could interfere with the boot process giving you trouble and increase the boot time.

    Daemon tools, Alcohol 120% and Power Archiver Pro uses SCSI Pass Through Direct (SPTD), which is a well known cause for BSOD's.
    Please remove Daemon Tools and run the SPTD pass through remover.

    1. Uninstall Daemon Tools
    2. Download the SPTD standalone installer and follow these steps:
      • Double click the executable to open it
      • Click on the button shown below

    APC_INDEX_MISMATCH BSoDs with dump files, please help [​IMG]

    If the button is grayed out, like in the image, there is no more SPTD installation on your system, and you can close the window

    Please follow this suggestion for the BSOD
    1. Please open BitDefender and go to the modules,
    2. Go to the firewall settings,
    3. Uncheck 'Block port scans in the network',
    4. Reboot your system <-- IMPORTANT
