Windows 10: APC_INDEX_MISMATCH on startup after update

Let me start by saying I'm not very technically savvy. I got a new laptop in December (HP ENVY x360), and it's been working fine until a few weeks ago. There's a new update, not really sure what it does, but when I shut down to update it, it starts back up with an APC_INDEX_MISMATCH error. I've been able to work around it for now by just not updating when I shut down, but every once in a while I accidentally hit update & shut down without thinking. As far as I'm aware, i still have all my files and nothing on the UI seems too broken when i run it normally.

Is there a simple fix, or should I just ignore it?

For you to update the driver manually, follow the steps below:

• Right-click on the Windows key.
• Click Device Manager.
• Locate and expand the category where the new device belong.
• Right-click the device’s name from the list and click Update Driver Software.
