    My Hewlitt Packard laptop (windows 10 64 bit) gave a light blue screen when I was using it all of a sudden with the message

    "Your PC ran into a problem and needs to restart. We're just collecting some error info and then will restart soon (100% complete) If you'd like to know more you can serach online later form this error APC_INDEX_MISMATCH

    There is no other info and the screen stays like that. cant be shut down . What to do please?

    Thanks for looking into this.

    The Bluescreen error is APC_INDEX_MISMATCH.

    I do encounter it in safe mode (no networking).

    APC_INDEX_MISMATCH

    The Crash dump blames Intel Video Driver for the crash.

    Completely remove everything from Intel using DDU and install the newest copy of the driver available.

    Display Driver Uninstaller Download version 17.0.8.6

    You can head either to Intel or the manufacturer of your device to get the newest driver.
