I'm trying to install Roblox on my daughters new laptop. I've added the laptop as a device in my microsoft account and it shows up in there but when trying to install the app it says: 'It looks like you don’t have any applicable devices linked to your Microsoft account. To install, sign in on a device with your Microsoft account.

I am signed in on the device and it's listed under Devices. I have reset the microsoft store. Windows seems up to date v20H2 and says no available updates. My other laptop with same windows version installed it fine. Please help.

    :)

  2. linking this device to my microsoft acount to use xbox app or other microsoft progams

    Hi Seef,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

We'd like to get more information regarding the issue.

    1. Do you have child account?
    2. Are you using Microsoft Store link to download the app?
    3. Check if you are able to download the app in your Dad’s account?

We would suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below and check if it helps.

    1. Try to sign out and sign in back in to computer.
    2. Try to sign in to Microsoft store app with your Microsoft account
    3. Then try downloading the app from the Microsoft Store App.

    Looking forward to your response.

  3. ‘No applicable devices linked to Microsoft account’

    Hello Greg,

I recently upgraded to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. When I try to install a game, while signed into my account, from the MS webpage, I get a dialog box stating:

Where do you want to install?

It looks like you don’t have any applicable device(s) linked to your Microsoft account. To install, sign in on a device with your Microsoft account.

My account manger shows my PC on my devices' listing page. I linked to the manager using the same account, which displays "My account login" on both the page trying to install and the devices listing. Apparently the dialog cannot access the devices linked
    to my account.

When I did not use the "...." -> "Install on my devices" and just clicked "Install/play" the install did kick off and is apparently working.
